Dear Customer *The Reason you should buy this amazing book*
‘Theek Tumhare Peechhe’ is a classic collection of short stories in Hindi. Authored by Manav Kaul, these stories reflect his profound writing skills and settings that take you on a serene journey. This book includes some gripping tales with poetic touches and each have an underlying message. The stories of this book were conceived when the author took break from play writing and did random musings on paper and on Instagram. The characters and their attitudes is based on contemporary lifestyles and evolving human nature. It also moves like a highly personal account of conversation between two people. Plots of the stories of this book are borrowed from the author’s childhood which took place across many homes as he kept changing his cities and the sketches are rather more philosophical than real. The stories bring serenity of Kashmir, the calmness of banks of river Narmada, the rugged Hoshangabad and the never stopping, always on the run curious people of Mumbai. All the stories have deep inclination to poetry and are swift to read. Kaul’s mastery over the language and his in-depth sense of life are clearly highlighted through this book. The stories have characters that although showcase modern lifestyle, have some natural and universal thought processes. The author is strongly influenced by the works of Nirmal Verma, Vinod Kumar Shukla, Camus, Jean-Paul Sartre and Dostoevsky and these stories are a tribute to them.
